Mark your days off

Going away, or just want a break? Mark the dates once and every band you are in sees you as away.

  1. Open your own page: tap Update my details and days off at the bottom of any gig offer, or Your details and days off after you sign in.
  2. Scroll to Days off. Pick the From and To dates. For one day, pick the same date twice.
  3. Under Still tell me what's happening while I'm away there is a tick box for each band you are in. Leave a band ticked to hear from it. Untick a band for silence from it.
  4. Press Add days off. To take them back, press Remove beside the dates.

Who sees them: only your band leaders, and only the dates. GLAR never asks why.

What happens while you're away: nothing is blocked. For a band you left ticked, you get one short note when a gig or a date poll lands on your days off, so you never find out later that you were left out. It is not an offer: you don't have to answer, and you get no reminders. If you'd like to come after all, tap the link in the note and press I'd like to come after all. Your band leader is told.

On a date poll, the dates inside your days off start as No. Change any of them if your plans change.

For leaders: an away mark shows beside the person on the gig page, the poll results and the Roster. On the gig page their Offer box starts unticked. Tick it if you want to ask them anyway; then they get a normal offer. Their spot also shows under Open chairs, and who could cover them, so you can offer it to someone else or to a sub without asking them first. When you send offers, GLAR shows who is away and will get the short note instead.
