Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 9, 2026 · Terms of Service · Privacy Policy · Community Guidelines · The GLAR Fund
Draft. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before GLAR opens to new groups.
GLAR is for bringing people together: bands, teams, families, clubs and friends. We're building a community of
kindness, respect and sharing, where people look forward to showing up. These guidelines are part of our
Terms of Service. They apply to everyone who uses GLAR (leaders, members, subs, advertisers and
visitors) and to everything sent or posted through it: messages, notes, profiles, listings, feedback and ads.
Treat people with respect
- No violence. No threats, no encouraging anyone to hurt a person or an animal, and nothing that celebrates violence.
- No harassment or bullying. Don't insult, belittle, intimidate or shame anyone, and stop contacting someone who asks you to.
- No verbal abuse or rudeness. No name-calling, slurs, swearing at people or personal attacks. Disagree about the
music, the game or the schedule, not about the person.
- No hate. Nothing that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender,
sexual orientation, disability, age or anything like it.
- No sexual content, and nothing that sexualizes anyone. In youth groups, adults reach young members only through
their parent or guardian, the way GLAR is set up to work.
Be honest and fair
- Be who you say you are. Don't pretend to be someone else or a group you aren't part of.
- No scams, spam, chain messages or misleading offers.
- Respect privacy. Don't share anyone's contact details, pictures or personal information without their permission.
- Keep it legal.
If something goes wrong
Use the Feedback button on any page to tell us. We look at what's reported and may use automated tools, including
AI, to help spot problems. When something breaks these guidelines we may remove it, turn down or take down an ad, limit
what an account can do, or close it, with or without notice. Ads removed for breaking these guidelines are not refunded.
Our hope
Be the bandmate, teammate, neighbor and host you'd want to have. Thank people, show up when you said you would, and
make room for someone new. That's how groups stay together.
