Subs: your sub list and the “Become a sub for us” link

Subs holds people who can fill in when someone can't make it. They aren't on your roster: no polls, not counted toward any limit.

  1. Add one yourself: under Add a sub yourself, type their name and email, pick what they play, and press Add to the sub list.
  2. Or share a link: press Turn on the link and send the link by text, email or a flyer. People fill in their name, email, what they play and when they're free. They wait under Asking to be a sub until you press Approve or Turn down. Nobody is told when you turn them down, and nothing about them is kept.
  3. Use them: when someone turns an offer down, the open spot on the gig page lists your subs (marked sub, and plays it when they play that part). Pick one and press Offer the chair.

Make a new link stops the old one working. Turn the link off closes it. Youth groups have no link; add subs to the roster one at a time with a parent or guardian.

Union or not (bands only): a gig can be marked union or non-union, and players see it on their offer. Each person can say union member, not in the union, or prefer not to say, on their own details page or when they ask to be a sub. GLAR can't check it. If someone's answer doesn't match the gig, the gig page shows a Union check note for you. Nobody is blocked; it's your call.
